I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any driving schools around town. I've called Joes a couple times and they don't seem to be too interested in giving lessons. I have to take the CA DMV driving test next week- not the written test but the behind the wheel test (for a car, i.e., not truck). I'm curious as to what's involved. I took the New York test many years ago and it asked me to drive around a residential neighborhood, make turns using signal and to demonstrate parallel parking. What places still have driver's ed in school? I think many districts in Iowa still have it, but I don't know of anywhere in Colorado that does. My driver's ed consisted of several night classes and 3 driving lessons. This was done through AAA and gave me a discount on insurance. Why doesn't the governor institute a stiff driving test instead of pub game machines?
Why doesn't the governor do something useful? Instead of screwing around with pub game machines and raising the driving age why doesnt he institute a stiff driving test ,one that requires a real world test of skilland knowledge of the driving rules?you've offered a valid question. Texas has recently passed legislation that allows parents to teach drivers education to their own children. Has anyone attempted this yet? To get the learning permit, which I'll do in the next few days, I need to present the I-94. This is fine - it's all present and correct, and I have all the paperwork necessary to present myself, prove my legal right to be in the country and then collect the permit.
