Is it really possible to learn to play guitar online?
Q. Is it really possible, or should I say really difficult to learn to play the guitar only from online lessons and info?
A. I take lessons privately, but my instructor encourages the use of the internet as well that is if you can find good sites. He told me it is a way to learn different styles and hear how different people overcome some of the problems they encounter. Like he told me, he overcame his flaws his way, but by being helped along. I posted to this group just recently being a newbie to playing the guitar, but having been in music for over 25 years. And I am sure everyone in this group will tell you that there is no book, instructor or web site in the world that will help you more than if you practise as much as you can. I make it a point to practise 7 days a week, sometimes I play really good and others like crap, but it doesn't matter.
