Has anyone attempted Home School Driver Education?

Q. Texas has recently passed legislation that allows parents to teach drivers education to their own children. Has anyone attempted this yet? I have the materials and the requirements, but I would like to hear from someone who has completed it.

A. Some families in our homeschool support group have taught drivers ed. successfully with their kids. If you have specific questions, I can talk to them and get some feedback for you. By the way, we also know some families who are NOT homeschooling that have taken advantage of this home-teaching opportunity! It seems to work just fine.
