Q. Iam interested if I can get my G.E.D. (general education diplomia) online with out leaving my home.Iam 24/male and have a anxiety disorder and Ive been doing some researching on this for along time.I've only got grade eight .Does anyone want to share their thoughts with me?I looked really hard for a way to at least study for the test at home but i couldn't find anything
A. I believe there are several places to prepare for the GED tests over the Net. To date the American Council on Education (the people that create and distribute the actual test) do not provide an Internet Test. The courses I have seen over the Net are unfortunately not very through nor are they cheap. There are about 13-15 different books ranging in size from 400-900 pages to help you prepare for the GED test prices range from about $18.00-$25.00. Most places that provide the actual GED test also provide tutoring and preparation which is usually free or very modestly priced. Before shelling out money for a GED prep program on the Net which is basically electronic page turning and in can cost in the hundreds, I would recommend you consider contacting the GED test center in your area and see if perhaps they would be willing to work with you via correspondence.
