Q. I want to take free online practice for ged. Please help me.
A. I put up this application on my web site http://ged-it.pedelyonline.com It parses gedcom files which are on the web - any web site accessible by ftp or http and displays the results. The important thing to note is that YOU DONT DONWLOAD THE GEDCOM; GED-IT downloads the file at lightning speed (server-server ) across the internet. You then can look at pedigree, descendency charts (switching dynamically), surname, name lists, choosing the number of generations to display. It's really esy to use, a;though could be prettier. You couold even embed the results in your own page so that you would have a gedcom viewer for your own site without actually needing to install anything.... sounds too good to be true. And its free....
