What places still have driver's ed in school?
Q. What places still have driver's ed in school? I think many districts in Iowa still have it, but I don't know of anywhere in Colorado that does. My driver's ed consisted of several night classes and 3 driving lessons. This was done through AAA and gave me a discount on insurance. Many people think that raising the driving age to 18 would solve all of the problems caused by young drivers. I disagree, as I think it is a question of experience and training. The United States should have a more in depth driver training program. Driver's ed should be brought back into public schools and should be required for getting a license. This probably won't happen though, given budgets and the current political climate.
A. Lee County still has it, but they dropped it for the summer school. Summer is the best time to take it because after a week, 5-hours a day, then every other day for an hour drive around the area and then drive yourself home. You can drive a lot more than driving in normal school hours, 1 hour versus 44 minutes.
