Correspondence Schooling.. ?Q. Could anyone provide me with information on Correspondence schooling..either through snail mail or email? I would really appreciate it. My mom and I have been looking into it for me for my last year in high school. Also, we live in Texas, in case that makes a difference. I have not been able to check out all the sites that y'all have listed on here, but I have reviewed a few. I believe that we are familiar with the Texas State Educational Laws. It's worked well for us. If you will contact the Texas Home School Coalition, they have an long list of umbrella and correspondence schools in the back of their home school handbook. Just a few you can check out are: Abeka (www.abeka.com), Texas Tech University (www.dce.ttu.edu/), UT at Austin (800-252-3461), Hilltop Baptist Academy (www.churchsearch.com/austin/hilltop). In addition to correspondence schooling, you may want to consider online schooling. My daughter uses Christa McAuliffe Academy ( www.cmacademy.org ). We've been very satisified.
